The table below outlines the estimated out-of-pocket costs for common fertility treatments, after Medicare rebates, for the first and subsequent cycles within a calendar year. These figures are a general guide to help with your planning. Private health cover and payment plans are also available to help manage the financial side of treatment.

In This Together program

Fertility treatment doesn’t always work the first time, and for a small number of patients, reaching a healthy baby means going through more than a few cycles. Our leading success rates help make the fastest path to a baby a reality for many patients, but when several rounds of treatment are needed, our In This Together program provides financial support for patients who need multiple IVF cycles as part of their journey to success.ning methods of ovulation induction and when and how to use it.

 

Who can access the program

  • If a patient undergoes 3 stimulated IVF cycles without a live birth, up to a further 2 stimulated IVF cycles are available at only $1,950 out of pocket per cycle
  • Your 2nd discounted cycle is subject to your individual clinical circumstances and your treating fertility specialist’s recommendation, including whether any embryos in storage should be transferred first
  • If a patient uses both discounted stimulated cycles (and any associated frozen embryo transfer cycles) without achieving a live birth, any further cycles return to full cost

Did you know SA now has its own fertility treatment rebate?

From 1 July 2026, eligible South Australian residents can receive up to $2,000 per fertility treatment cycle through the new SA Government rebate scheme, on top of your existing Medicare rebate. Our team can help you check your eligibility and complete your declaration form as part of your treatment plan.
